Aquatic Fitness is taking over the world! Well, maybe not the world, but it is making a big impact in the fitness industry.

According to the American Counsel on Exercise, aquatic fitness can make you feel about 90% lighter.  With so much pressure being taken off the joints, it makes aquatic fitness the ideal activity for those with arthritis, back problem, hip/foot/ankle/leg injuries, and knee conditions.

Exercising in water builds cardiovascular stamina, strength, and flexibility, burns fat, and increases circulation. Water Exercise is perfect for those who find movements such as running, kicking, leaping and even dancing on land painful.

The water creates a resistance for the perfect strength training instead of weights- the water itself provides the resistance. One of water’s greatest benefits when it comes to exercise is it’s effect on flexibility.  Due to there being less gravity, you can move your joints through wider ranges of motion than you would normally be able to if you were on land. This allows you to achieve more long-term flexibility.
